Update Trim Checkout
Use WordPress’s normal plugin update flow and keep a tested rollback available.
Where to go WordPress → Plugins / Updates
Install an eligible update
- Back up and read the release notes
Back up site files and database. Review the changelog and keep the previous released ZIP available outside the public web directory. - Check your license
Open Trim Checkout → License and use Check license now. Update access follows the entitlement you purchased. - Update on staging first
Use the available update action in Plugins or Updates. Downloads require server authorization and package-integrity verification. - Repeat your checkout tests
Test shipping/tax refresh, coupons, separate billing, mobile, gateway sandbox returns, consent and any enabled recovery flow before updating production.
If an update cannot download
- Expired or consumed ticket
- Retry the native update to request a fresh download ticket.
- Host clock or HTTPS problem
- Ask your host to correct the clock or HTTPS/proxy setup, then check the license again.
- Package-integrity error
- Stop the update and contact support with the error text. Do not replace it with an unsigned or unverified package.
- Licensing service unavailable
- Customer checkout continues working. Licensed downloads still require a fresh authorized ticket.
Rollback safely
Restore the previous Trim Checkout plugin files from your known-good ZIP and keep stored settings and data. Use the database backup if the release’s rollback instructions require it. Do not run two checkout-replacement plugins together.
Check before you finish
- The update appears at the expected version in WordPress.
- The real checkout URL and payment-return pages still work.
- Your backup and previous package remain available.
